Most men own a black Oxford and a brown Derby. The tassel loafer is what they buy when they want to wear something that actually gets noticed.

These handmade burgundy tassel loafers are built from pebble grain full-grain leather in a deep oxblood burgundy. The pebbled texture breaks up the surface of the shoe so it reads differently in light than smooth leather — a little more rugged, a little more interesting. The tassel sits on a clean moc-toe apron, hand-stitched around the front of the shoe in the traditional loafer manner. There is no buckle, no lacing, no closure of any kind. You slip them on, and they hold.

Every pair is handmade to order in our family workshop in Sialkot, Pakistan — where skilled craftsmen have been producing leather footwear since 2009. If your feet are between sizes or wider than standard, message us before ordering. We make the shoe to fit you, not the other way around.

What You Are Getting

Upper: Full-grain cowhide leather in pebble grain texture, oxblood burgundy
Tassel: Cut from the same leather as the upper, hand-attached to the apron saddle
Toe: Moc-toe construction with hand-stitched apron around the front
Sole: White leather welt with leather sole — the contrast welt is visible from the side
Lining: Soft genuine leather throughout — no synthetic materials inside
Insole: Cushioned leather insole with arch support
Heel: Low stacked leather heel
Construction: Hand-stitched throughout, made to order on a traditional last

The White Welt

Most loafers have a dark sole edge that blends into the upper. These have a natural white leather welt running around the perimeter of the shoe. It reads as a clean contrast line between the dark burgundy upper and the sole — subtle from a distance, distinctive close up. It is the kind of detail that people notice on your feet before they say anything about the shoe itself.

The Pebble Grain Leather

Smooth leather loafers are common. Pebble grain leather loafers for men are not. The grain is pressed into the hide during tanning and gives the leather a natural, textured surface that hides scuffs far better than smooth leather, develops character as it wears in, and looks different in different light. A smooth shoe under fluorescent office light looks flat. A pebble grain shoe under the same light shows depth. That matters when you are wearing these to a meeting, a wedding reception, or anywhere you will be standing still long enough for someone to look down.

How to Wear Them

Tassel loafers are the easiest dress shoe to style because they require no effort to put on and no lacing to get right. Wear them with:

Slim dark chinos and a knit polo — the smart casual combination that works from spring through autumn. The burgundy reads as a warm neutral against any dark trouser.

A grey or navy suit — this is the traditional tassel loafer environment. No-show socks or bare ankle, depending on how formal the occasion. For a wedding, this shoe works with almost any suit colour that is not black.

Dark denim and a blazer — the burgundy tassel loafer does something that a plain brown slip-on cannot. It reads as a deliberate choice rather than a default. People assume you thought about it.

These are slip on dress shoes that work across a wider range of settings than most men expect from a formal loafer. The pebble grain keeps them out of black-tie territory, which means they live comfortably between office wear and weekend smart casual.

Sizes and Fit

Available from US size 5 through US 15, including half sizes. These loafers are true to size. If you have a wide foot, message us before purchasing and we will adjust the width of the last. Loafers fit differently to lace-up dress shoes because there is no lacing to tighten — the fit across the instep needs to be right from the start. Check the size chart in the listing photos and, if in any doubt, send us your foot length in centimetres. We confirm your size before we begin making.

Customisation

We make these loafers in multiple colours on request — black, dark tan, cognac, chocolate brown, and oxblood burgundy (shown). The tassels can be matched to the upper or made in a contrasting colour. The sole can be switched to rubber if you prefer more grip for daily commuting wear. Message us with any request before ordering.

Care

Burgundy leather responds well to oxblood or dark burgundy shoe cream applied with a soft cloth, followed by buffing with a horsehair brush. The pebble grain texture holds polish well and the grain hides minor scuffs between polishes. Apply leather conditioner every two to three months. Store with shoe trees — the moc-toe construction benefits from a well-shaped last or shoe tree to maintain the apron shape over time. Keep away from prolonged rain; treat with a leather waterproof spray if you plan to wear them regularly in wet conditions.

Shipping and Processing

Processing time is eight to ten business days. Every pair is handmade to order and goes through a final quality check before we pack it. We ship worldwide using UPS or FedEx with full tracking from dispatch to delivery. Rush orders are available — message us before purchasing if you have a deadline and we will confirm whether we can meet it.

Why Buy Handmade

A factory tassel loafer is assembled on a production line. The upper is cut by machine, the sole is glued rather than welted, and the tassel is attached by a worker who handles hundreds of pairs per shift. The result is a loafer that fits the last it was made on, not the foot it ends up on.

A handmade tassel loafer is cut, lasted, stitched, and finished by a craftsman who has spent years learning one part of the process and decades getting it right. When you order from us, a human being cuts your upper from a hide chosen for that pair, forms it over a last, stitches the apron and tassel by hand, and wipes the finished shoe before it goes into the box. That is what handmade means in Sialkot. It is not a marketing claim. It is a description of how the shoe is made.

These slip on shoes for men are made to order, which means no stock, no warehouse, and no pair sitting in a box waiting to be sold. Your pair is made after you order it, to your size, and shipped to you directly from the workshop.
